Be a stranger. Be a guest.

Hi, I’m Prathigna (pronounced pra-thig-na), an Indian-American creative fiction writer. Officially, I’m sort of in between jobs (and life). Unofficially, I’m working on a fantasy novel!

Named after one of my favorite Rumi poems, The Guest House is a kind of digital hostel for my writing. A place where observations follow me home after a party, ideas check in and out, and essays feel like strange portals.

a compilation of things I get very excited by (and will most likely write about)↓

spacetime, paris review interviews, studio ghibli, interior design, typography, ancient civilization documentaries, tile art, mango sticky rice, poetry by Rumi, earthy scents, fantasy films, B-rated natural disaster flicks, holistic wellness, london fogs, public libraries, terribly written endings (in any medium), curly hair routines, cities of literature, the moon, dialogue in nora ephron’s films, grocery stores around the world, etc
